JUST EAT plc, a London, UK-based online and mobile marketplace for takeaway food, acquired two Italian online delivery companies.
– Clicca e Mangia, a Milan-based site where users can order pizza, Chinese and Japanese food and receive it home, and
– DeliveRex, a Rome-based online delivery service for Indian, Japanese, Indian, Italian food, ice creams, sandwiches, etc.
The acquisitions, whose amount was not disclosed, aim to further strengthen the company’s Italian business JUST EAT.it. They will also add several hundred new restaurants to JUST EAT’s expanding marketplace for takeaway food, and thousands of new customers.
Led by David Buttress, JUST EAT operates a global online marketplace for restaurant delivery. There are currently over 45,700 takeaway restaurants within the international JUST EAT network, which uses proprietary technology to offer an online ordering service for consumers and restaurant partners alike.
