IRIS.TV Inc., a Los Angeles, CA-based programmatic content delivery system for digital video, completed a $5.3m Series A funding.
Backers included Sierra Wasatch, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, Progress Ventures and Machinima founder Allen DeBevoise, as well as executives from Nielsen, AEG, and Lionsgate.
Led by Field Garthwaite, CEO, IRIS.TV provides a cloud-based programmatic content delivery platform that enables publishers to personalize video programming at scale, across all devices, in real-time and allows users to experience a TV-like linear stream that they can further personalize through a variety of interactive features. The software is designed to increase consumption and simplify operations for web and mobile video distribution, matching content based on audience preferences and user interactions.
Clients include CBS, Tribune Publishing, The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard.
