illusive networks Raises $5M in Series A Funding

illusive-logoillusive networks, a Tel Aviv, Israel and NY-based-based deception technology company, raised $5m in Series A funding.

Team8, a cybersecurity foundry, made the investment.

Founded by Ofer Israeli, VP R&D, and led by newly appointed CEO Shlomo Touboul, illusive networks provides innovative solutions that combat Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) by by proactively “baiting” an organization’s IT network and detecting breaches at very early stages, mitigating any potential damage. When attackers act upon baited information, it both neutralizes the attack and instantly triggers a breach report, enabling security administrators to detect, track and contain the attack in its early stages. The company also provides security administrators with real-time forensics information, collected at the exact moment attackers take the bait and before they have time to clean their tracks.
