Harvest Exchange, a Houston, Texas-based investment management marketplace platform, raised $5m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Highland Capital Management with participation from existing investors Third Point and Golden Tree Asset Management and new investor Marketplace Fund I. As part of the deal, Highland Capital Management will join the Harvest Exchange Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to improve the discovery and marketplace features, across both web and mobile.
Led by Peter Hans CEO, Harvest Exchange offers a direct SEC/FINRA compliant way for investment firms and research providers to enhance their branding through content marketing to a targeted community of accredited and qualified investment product buyers.
Since launching in 4Q 13, more than 125,000 investors have signed up to access over 75,000 unique investment perspectives from over 5,000 firms managing in excess of $5T in assets. They now receives up to 1,500 new macro thoughts, investment presentations and white papers per week.
