Goodservice, a Mumbai, India-based provider of a mobile crowd of personal assistants, raised $1.6m in seed funding.
Sequoia Capital made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its engineering and operations teams.
Founded in 2014 by Vipul Aggarwal, Goodservice provides a mobile service that allows users to give a task over chat and get it done.
Examples include booking a plumber, connect to a caterer to repairing a mobile phone, find a tutor, get quotations for a banquet hall and receive back options, the booking, and the follow up to ensure a good service.
The company currently employs 40+ people.
