Zeek Raises $3M in Venture Capital Funding

zeek-logoZeek, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based mobile marketplace for consumers to sell and buy gift certificates, cards and e-vouchers, raised $3m in venture capital funding.

Backers included Blumberg Capital and Qualcomm (via its venture capital arm Qualcomm Venture) and Uri Levin (co-founder of Waze and chairman of Zeek).

The company intends to use the funds to expand in Europe during 2015.

Led by Daniel Zelkind (CEO), Itay Erel (CMO), and Ziv Isaiah (CTO), Zeek is a mobile marketplace to sell and buy unwanted gift cards. Sellers scan their vouchers, determine the asking prices, and put them up for sale on the marketplace. Buyers search for vouchers by brand name and purchase them for an attractive rate. In addition, the company’s eWallet feature allows buyers and sellers to keep track of their vouchers.

It is available in Israel and UK, and soon in Portugal and Poland and downloadable for free from the App Store and Google Play.
