Samsara, a San Francisco, CA-based builder of Internet-connected sensor systems to deploy sensors at any scale, raises $25m in funding.
The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz. In conjunction with the funding, Marc Andreessen joined Samsara’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform and grow operations.
Founded in early 2015 by CEO Sanjit Biswas and CTO John Bicket, Samsara is building an integrated, software-centric solution that combines plug-and-play sensors, wireless connectivity, and cloud-hosted software.
