Parkifi, a Denver-based real-time parking spot occupancy platform, raised $2m in venture capital funding.
Backers included Colorado based Galvanize Ventures, Foundry Group Angels and Access Ventures, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to grow in target markets and develop the team.
Founded by Ryan Sullivan and Rishi Malik in 2014, Parkifi provides real-time occupancy and analytical data for parking and property management. Its sensor technology provides spot-by-spot data and average parking times, spot occupancy, pricing optimization trends and outcomes. Initially, the company will roll out services with a parking management company in Denver that represents 7,000 parking spots as well as the City of Boulder, Colorado and a Pittsburgh based parking management firm.
