Gametime Secures $13.3M in Series A Funding

gametimeGametime, a San Francisco-based sports ticketing app, secured $13.3m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Accel Partners with participation from Casey Wasserman, Entertainment and sports executive, Brian Spaly and John Tucker, Trunk Club founders, David Blitzer, co-owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils, and previous investors Vivek Ranadive, owner of the Sacramento Kings, Jeff Mallett, San Francisco Giants, Vancouver Whitecaps and Derby County FC owner, Sam Shank and Jared Simon, HotelTonight co-founders, and Aaron Levie, Box founder.

The company intends to use the funds to support the growth with new technology implementation, marketing investments and hiring across all departments at its headquarters.

Led by Brad Griffith, founder and CEO, Gametime provides a mobile on-demand sports ticketing platform. Available for iOS (including Apple Watch) and Android, Gametime offers last-minute sports tickets for more than 150 teams in 35 markets across the U.S. and Canada.
