Blitsy, a Chicago, IL-based arts and crafts e-Commerce company and community, closed $3.6m Series A funding round.
The round was led by Greycroft Partners with support from new investor Data Point Capital, existing investors Chicago Ventures, FireStarter Fund, Lakewest Venture Partners, as well as angel investors Brian Spaly, CEO of Trunk Club, and Binh Tran, Co-Founder of Klout.
The company will use the funds to expand operations.
Cofounded by Ross Petersen, Ryan Petersen, Katy Weade, and Ab Fadel, Blitsy focuses on discovering and offering the crafting industry’s latest designs and trends from crafters’ favorite brands in one online location. Through curated selections of craft supplies combined with video lessons featuring industry experts, the site aims to be a source of inspiration for beginners and experts alike.
