Freshdesk, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a SaaS customer support platform, raised $50m in Series E venture capital funding.
The round was led by Tiger Global Management with participation from return backers Accel Partners and Google Capital.
The company, which has raised $94m in total, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations globally.
Led by Girish Mathrubootham, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, and Shan Krishnasamy, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, Freshdesk is a cloud-based customer support platform that enables companies of all sizes to provide customer service across all channels, including email, phone, websites, forums and social media
The company, which has also launched Freshservice, a SaaS IT service desk that is providing a modern alternative to complex legacy IT support systems, has more than 300 employees globally and over 40,000 clients.
