eyeQ Raises $1.2M in Funding

eyeQeyeQ, an Austin, TX-based developer of technology to bring online-style customer experience to brick and mortar stores, raised $1.2m in funding.

Backers included Corsa Ventures, DreamIt, Houston Angel Network, South Coast Angel Network and other angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its business, adding new customers and increasing engagements with existing brands.

Founded in 2012 by CEO Michael Garel, eyeQ has developed a suite for brick-and-mortar retailers to leverage e-commerce intelligence to create a hybrid in person/online experience for shoppers, giving them ratings, reviews, suggested offerings, etc.,  to decide and buy on the spot.

The company is a member of the Austin Technology Incubator and a 2014 graduate of DreamIt Ventures.
