Enterprise Communications Platform Honey Raises $1M in Venture Capital Funding

honeyHoney, a NYC-based provider of an enterprise communications platform, raised $1m in venture capital funding.

The round was led by Point Nine Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to grow sales and build the client support team.

Led by Rachel Kaplowitz, CEO, Honey provides an enterprise social platform designed make internal communications easy for companies of
all sizes. It combines social features with the security and structure of an enterprise intranet.
The solution is used to manage internal communications, bring transparency to the organization, drive and quantify employee engagement, and replace outdated intranets.
It features a user-friendly design, customizable groups, automated email newsletters, and a suite of administrative and analytics tools.

Customers include global agencies, FORTUNE 500 companies, and media properties.

Honey was incubated by Huge and its parent company Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG), as part of the agency’s Labs program, which develops new technologies to solve business and client challenges.
