Appirio Secures $35M in Series E Funding Round

appirioLogo_horizontalAppirio, a San Francisco, CA-based global cloud services company, secured $35m in Series E funding round.

The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company.

The company intends to use the funds to expand globally its services and increase the investment in its Appirio Services Platform.

Founded in 2006 by CEO Chris Barbin and newly hired Chief Technology Officer Alex Castro, Appirio provides cloud and enterprise crowdsourcing services partnering to such brands as Cardinal Health, Coca-Cola, eBay, Facebook, Georgia-Pacific, Home Depot, Moen, and Sony Playstation.

Castro will focus on building a next generation services platform that will enable partners and customers to have direct, on-demand access to the company’s cloud expertise, pre-built solution accelerators and the global community of more than 750,000 designers, developers and data scientists.

The company has offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan and India – with a workforce of nearly 1,200 employees.
