Voxel8, a Somerville, MA-based maker of multi-material 3D electronics printer capable of printing embedded electronics and other novel devices, closed a strategic investment and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel.
In-Q-Tel (IQT) is the investment firm that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community.
The company will use the funds to bring its technology to the mass market.
Founded by Dr. Jennifer A. Lewis, Wyss Professor of Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, Voxel8 is commercializing a new platform for 3D printing that includes functional materials, printing hardware, and intelligent software.
The company enables designers and engineers to create products with embedded 3D electronics.
