Trucker Path Raises $1.5M in Funding

image Trucker Path, a Mountain View, CA-based app for American truckers, raised $1.5m in funding.

Chinese Renren made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow operations in the U.S., establish its presence in China, introduce new features into the app soon, including fuel prices and low clearances.

Led by CEO Ivan Tsybaev, Trucker Path provides a platform that allows carriers to find truckloads on a smartphone and connects shippers or brokers with the right carriers.
The mobile app shows all major and independent truck stops, truck parking, rest areas, open/closed weigh stations, stores with truck parking, scales, truck washes, hotels, and restaurants nearby. The app also helps truckers save time and money with a Trip Planner that displays places on the route, along with driver reviews, and up-to-date information on open or closed weigh stations, so drivers can ensure the stops meet their needs.

Trucker Path now has more than 100,000 active users on its platform.
