TransitScreen Raises $600K in Funding

transitscreenTransitScreen, a Washington DC-based transportation software and digital signage company, raised $600k in funding.

A group of unnamed investors in transportation, real estate, and finance made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to expand adoption of its screens worldwide, mainly in Latin America and the Middle East, and add to its technical team.

Co-founded by Ryan Croft and Matt Caywood, TransitScreen provides real-time transit information displays of all transportation options at a specific location (including subway, bus, train, bikeshare, carshare, and on-demand ridesharing).
The company, which has 40 paying customers, currently supports 22 North American cities and over 50 transportation agencies and commercial partners.
