The Social+Capital Partnership, a Palo Alto, California-based venture capital firm, is raising a new fund.
According a filing with the S.E.C., the firm aims to raise $450m for the vehicle, which is called Social Capital Partnership III, L.P.
Founded by Chamath Palihapitiya, The Social+Capital Partnership is a partnership of philanthropists, technologists and capitalists which aims to use “venture capital as a force to create value and change on a global scale“.
The latest investments include Coolan and Getable.
