RoverTown, a St. Louis, MO-based provider of student discounts on mobile, raised $875k in angel funding.
Backers included Dave Peacock, Tom Hillman, David Karandish and Chris Sim.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.
RoverTown partners with universities across the U.S. to aggregate local student discounts in a single app.
The paperless system allows users to find discounts and “redeem” them once they arrive at the business. That will bring up a unique discount code on the screen to be showed to their cashier.
