McMillan Williams Solicitors, a UK-based consumer focused high street law firm, received a £5m investment from Business Growth Fund.
BGF acquired a minority stake in the company.
The firm intends to use the proceeds to expand operations adding eight offices (to the existing eighteen) in London and the South East over the next two years and recruit approximately 75 new solicitors and additional legal staff and move into new legal areas as the business scales (including commercial conveyancing, mental health, financial claims on divorce and civil litigation).
Founded in 1983, McMillan Williams operates a number of practice areas in the consumer legal services sector including conveyancing, personal injury and family law serving serving clients throughout South, West and Central London, Kent, Sussex, and Devon. Turnover is expected to reach £18m in the year ending April 2015.
