Document Direct, a Liverpool, UK-based provider of a digital dictation and transcription service for law firms and medical and health centres, raised £400k in funding.
The company intends to use the funds to pursue expansion plans.
Established in 2005 by Managing Director Martyn Best, Document Direct provides legal and professional services firms and the medical sector with transcription, typing and secretarial services. The company has also developed its own software platform, iComply Direct, which uses an e-signature to allow law firms to manage their anti-money laundering obligations and streamline the process of obtaining client verification on documents.
It now produces over 20,000 completed documents per month from voice recordings sent over the internet serving over 100 clients.
