CareGuide Raises Seed Funding

CareGuide, a Toronto, Canada-based marketplace for care services, raised $2.5m in seed funding.

Backers included iNovia Capital and several angel investors (have a look at the list here).

The company, which has raised nearly $5m to date, intends to use the funds to continue to develop the product and grow operations.

Founded in 2012, CareGuide focuses on connecting families with care (senior, child, pet and home care) providers via Sitter.com, Housekeeper.com, PetSitter.com, ElderCare.com and HouseSitter.com.
The company is led by John Philip Green, Brian Sharwood, Jesse Rasch and Ed Lui.
