Airtable Raises $3M in Funding

airtableAirtable, a San Francisco, California-based provider of a productivity platform, raised $3m in funding.

Backers included Freestyle Capital, Caffeinated Capital, CrunchFund, Data Collective, Michael Birch, Box Group, Ben Ling, Villi Iltchev, Shan Mehta, Amitt Mahajan, Eric Wu, Ashton Kutcher, Othman Laraki and Aaron Harris.

Co-founded by Emmett Nicholas, Andrew Ofstad and Howie Liu, Airtable provides a mobile-friendly productivity tool that combines spreadsheet and database to allow users to effectively manage and manipulate their data.
Used by teams across the world, Airtable allows people to organize everything from sales leads, to employee directories, a product catalog, etc.
Records are presented as cards on mobile while users can edit them in a spreadsheet interface on the web.
