Airdog Closes $2M Seed Funding Round

airdogAirdog, a Palo Alto, CA and Jelgava, Latvia-based provider of an auto-follow drone for action sports, closed a $2M seed funding round.

The round was led by Seraph Group with participation from IT-Farm Corporation, Base Ventures, FlyCap, Imprimatur Capital and angel investors Konstantin Othmer, Harry Cheung, Vinny Lingham, Chris Hulls and Arthur Watson.

The company, which had raised $1.368m via Kickstarter, intends to use the funds to bring the product to market.

Led by Edgars Rozentals, CEO, Airdog is a small foldable quadcopter, especially designed for filmmakers and action sports enthusiasts who use GoPro cameras. It automatically follows the user wherever he/she goes and does.
