Urban Compass Rebrands as Compass; Acquires Lindsay Reishman Real Estate

compassNew York City-based technology-driven real estate platform Urban Compass has changed its name to Compass.

The rebranding is considered a milestone in the company’s strategy to expand nationally beyond urban markets.

The company has also launched Washington, D.C.-area operations and technology platform, marking its first foray outside of New York City, following the recent acquisition of Lindsay Reishman Real Estate, a leading residential brokerages in the D.C. area.
The launch also included a new website at compass.com, which features Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia home listings and neighborhood guides, as well as an enhanced consumer app in both markets.

Launched in 2013 by Ori Allon, Executive Chairman, Compass combines agents with technology to facilitate the process of buying, selling or renting a home.
