Twitter (TWTR) has acquired Niche, a New York City and San Francisco-based network for social media creators.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Co-founded by Rob Fishman and Darren Lachtman, Niche operates a professional network for social media creators to analyze, grow and monetize their audience.
According to the acquisition announcement on its blog, joining Twitter, Niche will continue to expand its platform with new tools and opportunities with more info about the integration to follow.
In May 2014, Niche had raised 2.5m in seed funding was led by SoftTech with participation from Lerer Ventures, Box Group, Advancit Capital, SV Angel, Kevin Colleran, William Morris Endeavor, and Gary Vaynerchuk (read here).
