Trov Closes $6.5M Financing Round

trov-logoTrov, a San Francisco Bay Area-based platform for people to organize, value and protect their things, closed a $6.5m financing round.

The round was led by Anthemis Group. In addition to the financing, Ken Rudin, Director of Analytics at Facebook, and Sean Park, founder of the Anthemis Group, joined Trov’s board of directors.

The company, which has now raised a total of $13.3m, intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of technology and expand to new territories.

Led by Scott Walchek, Founder and CEO, Trov connects people to information and insights about their things. Powered by technology and integrations with large databases, Trov allows them to reference receipts and other information, track the market value of their things and connect to opportunities to insure. Information in any Trov is owned by the user, kept in the cloud and accessible on a mobile device.
The service is currently in public beta and available for free on iPhone in the US and Australia. The Android version is expected to become available later this quarter.
