Tilson Technology Management, a Portland, ME-based provider of information technology professional services and network construction solutions, raised $2.2m in funding.
The backers were Rand Capital Corp. (Nasdaq:RAND) ($600k) and venture capital fund CEI Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to grow in new markets organically and through acquisitions of adjacent businesses.
Led by Joshua Broder, Chief Executive Officer and majority owner, Tilson is an information technology professional services and network construction company.
It operates in two service capacity constrained markets: 1) telecommunications facilities development for cellular, smart grid and government; and 2) consulting, software development and information systems deployment specializing in construction applications.
