Skipta, a Lancaster, PA-based provider of online specialty and disease state medical communities for verified healthcare professionals, raised $2.5m in Series A funding.
Healthcare-focused private equity firm Mansa Capital made the investment. As part of the transaction, Mansa Capital Partner, James Renna will join Skipta’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance its technology platform, accelerate network development, increase community membership, and expand its executive team.
Founded by Dr. Theodore Search, PharmD, Skipta provides online specialty and disease state medical communities for verified healthcare professionals. Its network of 28 niche medical communities enables healthcare professionals to communicate, consult and exchange information within private and secure platforms per specialty or disease state.
