Homebrew Closes Two Venture Capital Funds

homebrewAccording to a blog post, Homebrew, a San Francisco, CA-based seed stage venture capital firm, closed its second fund at $50m.

Homebrew II will focus on investing in hyper-growth companies over a 30-36 month period. It aims to make $500k-$1m investments as part of $1m-$3m fundraisings. In addition to Homebrew II, the firm has also raised a $35m fund called Moonshine, which will extend its support, where appropriate, for Homebrew fund investments in future financings, primarily B rounds and beyond.

Led by Satya Patel and Hunter Walk, Homebrew had invested its $35m first fund in 17 startups including Chime, Layer, Pillow, Shyp, theSkimm, UpCounsel, Q, Weave, and others.
