Hammer & Chisel, a Bulingam, CA-based gaming startup, closed its Series B funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included Tencent, Benchmark Capital and YouWeb’s 9+. The round brught the total amount raised by Hammer & Chisel to more than $8.2m.
The company intends to use the funds to bring high end mobile games to emerging markets all around the world.
Started in 2012 by OpenFeint Founder Jason Citron, Hammer & Chisel aims to bring immersive multiplayer core games to the next generation of core gamers who play primarily on post-pc devices. Their first title is Fates Forever, a massively multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) for the iPad.
