Colu Raises $2.5M

coluColu, an Israeli platform that uses Bitcoin blockchain technology to provide access to everyday purchases and possessions, raised a $2.5m in seed funding.

The round was led by Aleph and Spark Capital, with participation from BoxGroup and Bitcoin Opportunity Crop.

The company intends to use the funds to build its platform

Led by co-founder and CEO Amos Meiri, Colu is a blockchain platform for consumers and developers providing secure access to everyday consumer purchases, accessories and experiences. The founding team, including Meiri, David Ring and Mark Smargon, started ColoredCoins.org, the open source standard for issuing assets on the Bitcoin block chain.
Currently in beta, COLU will be releasing a more public build in the second quarter of 2015.
