The League Raises $2.1M in Funding

theleagueThe League, a San Francisco-based provider of a dating app, raised $2.1 million in funding.

Backers included venture capital firms IDG Ventures USA, Sherpa Ventures, Cowboy Ventures and others.

The company intends to use the funds to add more features on the platform, increase adoption and expand into new cities. It is hiring.

Led by Amanda Bradford, CEO and founder, The League provides a dating app which targets busy, hard-working city people who want to date and meet new, compatible people with privacy, controls and context. Launched two months ago in private beta, the app has already made more than 20,000 matches with 19 confirmed relationships.
