Supermercato24.it Raises €155K; Valued €1.65M

supermercato24Supermercato24.it, a Verona, Italy-based Instacart clone, raised €155k in seed funding.

Backers in the round, which valued the company at €1.65m, included members of Custodi di Successo, a group of business angels, Andrea Dusi, Cristina Pozzi, Simone Zanollo, founders of Wish Days, Francesco Fusetti, CEO of CharityStars, Massimiliano Squillace, founder and CEO of Nextone Media, and Francesco Lato, founder of CercoLavoro.com and Talent Garden Genova.

The company intends to use the funds to expand in new cities across Italy.

Led by Enrico Pandian, CEO, founder PrezziPazzi e Matura.it and angel investor in Mattermark, Supermercato24 is a grocery delivery service that allows consumers to choose products from their favorite grocery chains, order them online, and pay cash at the time  of delivery. The products are delivered during the same day of the order. Launched in Verona in September 2014, the service is now present in 8 provinces and aims to expand to 21 within the end of January and 58 provinces by the end of March 2015.

The team also includes Daniele Sandri (Designer), Nicola Armellini (Web developer) and Vanessa Rutar (Operations).
