Interana Raises $20m in Series B Funding

Interana_LogoInterana, a Menlo Park, CA-based provider of an event-based analytics platform, raised $20m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Index Ventures with participation from new investors AME Cloud Ventures, Harris Barton and Mike Olson, chief strategy officer at Cloudera, and existing investors Battery Ventures, Data Collective and Fuel Capital. With the investment, Mike Volpi, general partner at Index Ventures, will join Interana’s Board of Directors,

The company will use the funds to expand its reach into enterprises through product development and go-to-market strategies.

Led by Ann Johnson, CEO, Bobby Johnson, CTO, Joseph Adler, Data Scientist and Product Manager, and Alonzo Canada, Product Design Lead, Interana provides an event-based analytics solution that answers critical business questions on how customers behave and products are used. Users can monitor key business metrics including growth, retention, conversion and engagement. Its technology stores billions of sequences of events (event data) from sources such as clickstreams, call detail records, transactions and sensor data, allowing users to ask questions and see answers in seconds.
