Fashion Project Secures $7.2m in Series A Funding

Co-foundersFashion Project, a Boston, MA-based online clothing donation destination, secured $7.2m in Series A funding.

Backers included Second Time Around (STA), Simon Venture Group, Burch Creative Capital, Robert Hall of Vera Bradley, RiverPark Ventures, Schooner Capital, and Abundance Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to grow its workforce, expand facilities and increase its charitable partner network.

Incepted in 2012 by Anna Palmer, CEO, and Christine Rizk, Fashion Project is an online clothing shopping and donation platform for women who want to give back.
The company, which has received 220,000 donated items including clothing from high-profile celebrities such as Heidi Klum and Chelsea Handler, supports more than 2,000 non-profits.
It has raised over $400,000 for charities including Dana Farber and The Jimmy Fund, Big Brother Big Sister, Dress for Success and Autism Speaks.
