Benu Networks, a Billerica, Massachusetts-based provider of networking and software solutions for network operators deploying Carrier Wi-Fi and virtualized network services, added Shaw Ventures as an investor.
With this funding, the company completed a previously announced $27.7m funding round that included ARRIS Group, Liberty Global, Spark Capital, Sutter Hill Ventures, and Comcast Ventures (read here).
The company intends to use the capital to continue to focus on bolstering its sales, marketing and engineering teams, and expand into the Latin America and Asia Pacific regions.
Led by Dino Di Palma, CEO, Benu Networks focuses on the delivery of virtualized services to the Internet of Things (IoT). Its platform, which is based on a service delivery architecture, provides Network Operators with tools to deploy next generation Carrier Wi-Fi and to offer virtual home and business solutions.
