Los Angeles, CA-based venture capital firm Upfront Ventures has closed its fifth fund at $280m.
Limited Partners include banks, university endowments, foundations, insurance firms, family offices and fund of funds.
Led by general partner Mark Suster, the firm will continue to invest in Series Seed and A rounds of tech startups. At a geographic level, the strategy is to fund about 50% of deals in Southern California (from San Diego to Santa Barbara) and 50% of deals on a national basis.
