UNIFi Software, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a comprehensive data integration solution for the enterprise, raised $4.45m in seed financing.

The round was led by Canaan Partners with participation from other Omaha Capital LLC. In conjunction with the funding, Roseanne Wincek, principal at Canaan Partners, will be joining the Board.

The company intends to use the funds to scale the business, accelerate development of the data acquisition and integration software, and support its Early Access Program which includes six Fortune 500 companies.

Led by Rob Carlson, CEO & co-founder, UNIFi provides businesses with a smart server-based, visually-driven software that allows users in the enterprise to search for data across the organization, pull it into Hadoop, and structure it so the analysis can all be done in one place. It requires no additional hardware and leverages the company’s existing systems.
In addition to the funding, the company is announcing the public launch of its Early Access Program, a 8-12 week program that pairs a dedicated UNIFi engineer with each partner company (Disney, Havas Media and ATKearney) to build a specific product that addresses the company’s biggest data pain points.
