Qurami Completes €590K Funding Round

quramiQurami, a Rome, Italy-based provider of the mobile app that “queues up for you”, added €90k in funding to the €500k round recently announced (read here).

UniCredit Start Lab, the initiative of Unicredit Group dedicated to startups, joined LVenture (LVEN.MI), members of Italian Angels for Growth and other business angels in the operation.

The company will use the funds to expand operations in Italy and abroad.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Roberto Macina, Qurami allows mobile users users to reserve a spot in line through a mobile application that interacts with all existing types of electronic ticketing machines. With Qurami users are able to see in real time the exact number of people in line, the estimated waiting time and they are notified when their turn is approaching.
With more than 150,000 downloads, the app is used at museums, hospital, public administration offices, universities, etc.
Clients include Rome-based universities La Sapienza, LUISS, Roma Tre and Tor Vergata, Israeli Hospital and Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic Hospital, Urban Mobility Agency and Biopark, Milan-based employment agency and Chamber of Commerce, Florence-based local municipality, Trieste-based local municipality and the university of Padua.
