Front Desk Raises $4M in Series A Funding

frontdeskFront Desk, a Seattle, WA-based mobile-first software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform delivering integrated client management and payment processing for personal services businesses and franchises, raised $4m in Series A funding.

Backers included existing investors Floodgate, Version One Ventures, Second Avenue Partners, Zillow co-founder Rich Barton, Front Desk CEO Jon Zimmerman and Demandforce co-founders Sam Osman and Rick Berry. Osman is also joining the Front Desk board of directors.

The company, which has raised $11.2m to date, intends to use the funds to accelerate hiring and product development.

Launched in 2013, Front Desk delivers a complete mobile-first business management platform for small- to mid-sized businesses and franchises providing personal services, such as yoga studios, music schools, tutoring centers, etc. Users include the School of Rock franchise’s 150 worldwide locations, and the Fit4Mom franchise, which focus on maternal health and wellness classes.
