AOL Inc. (NYSE:AOL) acquired Vidible Inc., a Bellevue, WA-based independent cross-screen video management and exchange platform for buyers and sellers of digital media.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition aims to further extends AOL’s position in video content management and syndication, and to create a comprehensive set of video content management tools for creators and publishers.
Founded in 2012 by Tim Mahlman, President and Co-founder, Vidible provides a video management and exchange technology platform, enabling buyers and sellers of digital media to manage and monetize video content across all devices. The company, which has offices in New York, San Francisco and Seattle, was backed by IDG Ventures, and Greycroft along with New York Times.
