SysCloud, a New Jersey- and India-based provider of data security and backup solutions for businesses and schools using Google Apps, raised $2.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Inventus Capital Partners with participation from existing backer KAE Capital. In conjunction with the funding, John Dougary of Inventus will be joining the board of directors at SysCloud.
The company intends to use the funds to expand sales and marketing efforts, scale current operations and accelerate development for continued product innovation.
Founded in 2010 and led by Vijay Krishna, CEO, SysCloud provides a suite for Google Apps through real-time backups, insights and security policies.
