Self Care Catalysts Raises CDN$2M in Seed Funding

selfcareSelf Care Catalysts, a Toronto, Canada and San Francisco, California-based provider of a patient informatics, intelligence and self care platform, raised CDN$2m in seed funding.

Prosoft Development Inc., a privately-owned company that invests in information technology, software development, consulting and solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop Health Storylines™.

Led by CEO Grace Soyao, Self Care Catalysts provides Health Storylines™, a mobile and web-based patient intelligence, analytics and self care platform and Patient Storylines™ an enterprise data and behavior analytics platform. The company, which has raised a total of $2.7M to date since it pivoted from a patient research company to healthcare informatics, is actively working with pharmaceutical companies, research foundations and patient advocacy organizations to bring Health Storylines™ to patients.
