Risparmio Super, a Catania, Italy-based grocery price comparison platform, raised €1.375m in a new funding round.
Backers included LVenture, which participated in a €1m first tranche, and Qui!Group, which made a €350k commitment.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.
Led by co-founder and CEO Barbara Labate, Risparmio Super provides a platform that allows grocery chains to compare prices and offers from competitors and collect data about consumer behaviour.
The company also provides an app and is working to expand its recently launched “CLICCA & RITIRA”, a free service that allows people to retire their grocery shopping bags in partnering stores.
It has offices in Rome and Milan.
