Remoto Raises $1.5M in Funding

Remoto_scrbright box, a Moscow, Russia-based IT company that has developed Remoto, a connected car platform for mass-market, raised $1.5M in funding.

Leta Capital made the investment. In conjunction with the funding, Alexander Chachava, Managing Partner of LETA Capital, will be joining the brigt box Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to focus on R&D of the Remoto product, platform adaptation for car brands and scale the technology for supporting multiple millions of connected cars.

Led by board Chairman Innokentiy Belotsky, Remoto provides a connected car platform to manage remotely cars certified by Kia Motors Russia. Remoto KIA is included as an option in some packages and available as an additional accessory for all car models.
The company, which has also launched a Chinese version (http://oem.myremoto.com/ch.html ), available on Google Play and on the App Store, plans to introduce new features like remote diagnostics, automatic parking toll payment, traffic fines notifications and vehicle operation data analysis in 2015.
