Prelert Raises $7.5M

Prelert_LogoPrelert, a Framingham, Mass.-based anomaly detection company, raised a $7.5m round of venture capital financing.

Backers included Intel Capital and existing investors Fairhaven Capital and Sierra Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to further expand its field sales and engineering organizations.

Led by Mark Jaffe, CEO, Prelert provides machine learning anomaly detective technology that allows enterprises, cloud service providers and IT management providers to uncover real-time insights into the operational opportunities and risks hidden in massive data sets.
The platform has been proven through more than 100 enterprise installations as an integrated app for Splunk and through partnerships that address IT security and APM use cases, including OEM relationships with Alert Logic and CA Technologies.
In addition, the company recently opened its API, allowing developers, cloud service providers and technology vendors to integrate is engine into their environments.
