Fitmo, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based fitness app startup, raised €1.2m in funding.
Informal backers made the investment.
Led by Co-founder/CEO Dave Roeloffs and Co-founder/COO Steijn Pelle, Fitmo has developed the Fitmo coach that connects and motivates clients via the app and provides clients with personalized workout schedules that clients can complete on their own time.
The company has also announced integration data with UP by Jawbone, the wristband, app and data system that allows users to understand how they move, eat and sleep. Fitmo adds the human factor to technology by making personal training services available to all. With the integration, Fitmo will be listed in the UP App Gallery (amongst apps such as Runkeeper and Strava) providing members of the UP community with the option to link to the Fitmo app to receive coaching with a professional coach.
