Boost Media Raises $19M in Series C Funding

boost_media_logoBoost Media, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of creative optimization marketing technology, raised $19m in Series C funding.

The round was led by Battery Ventures with participation from Javelin Venture Partners, Pinnacle Ventures, Webb Investment Network and individual investors. In conjunction with the funding, Battery General Partner Roger Lee joined Boost Media’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to grow its product and its engineering teams, expand its product reach beyond paid search and into social, display and mobile ad optimization, provide deeper analytics on creative strategies, and grow internationally.

Led by David Greenbaum, founder and CEO, Shawn Kernes, CTO, Michael Feldman, senior vice president of business development, and Jeff McCarthy, vice president of customer success, Boost Media provides a creative optimization platform which has delivered more than $1 billion in optimized digital ads for brands. Using the Boost Cloud, a SaaS platform built for advertisers and agencies, marketers can source, test and optimize ad creative across search, social, display, and mobile. The company also provides insights that allows marketers to understand which creative strategies are working and why.
The solution is currently used by more than 100 global brands across the retail, education, financial, healthcare and insurance, casual gaming, auto and travel verticals.
Business partners include Marin Software, Google DoubleClick Search, Facebook, Yahoo! and Kenshoo.
