5nine Software, a Boston, Massachusetts-based Microsoft Cloud virtualization management, security and compliance provider, raised a round of financing of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Insight Venture Partners and the founders of Veeam Software. In conjunction with the funding, Michael Triplett, Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners, and Ratmir Timashev, Founder and CEO of Veeam Software joined 5nine Software’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to add sales, marketing, and product development resources.
Founded in 2009 and led by Brian Zimmerman, Senior Vice President, and Konstantin Malkov, CTO, 5nine Software offers agentless security and management solutions for Microsoft Hyper-V. The company provides software designed to reduce costs, increase productivity and mitigate security risks.
It serves helps more than 25,000 organizations around the globe via its additional offices in New Jersey, Chicago and Europe.
